Villedieu-Les-Poeles is one of the local towns that are worth looking around. Have a coffee in one of the many cafe's, restaraunts and tabacs. Famous for it's fully functioning bell foundry and hand sculpted copper, pewter, and brass-ware, you can discover some really beautiful pieces. Visit the large local market on each Tuesday morning.

We can personally recommend some of them to you depending on your preferences. local specialities include seafood fruit de mer or galettes.Granville which is known as the Monaco of the North because of its casino, family beaches, and the relaxed lifestyle, its full of history, and why not visit Christian Diors birthplace and Museum. A walk through the old town is a must, or perhaps a day trip to Jersey from Granville harbour.
The Normandy beaches are renowned not just because of WWII but also for being some of the cleanest in Europe. Why not visit the beaches made famous by the film Saving Private Ryan and the Normandy Landings spend some time at the war graves to pay respect to your hero's.
